Pre-Inspection Support

Ensure you are well prepared for your school inspection under the new Framework by having one of our experts work with you to conduct a Mock Inspection. We offer personalised packages involving in-school support, training and guidance designed to perfectly prepare you and your staff for upcoming inspections. We can cover all aspects of the Framework, or if you have a particular area which you would like to focus on, our experts are happy to help.

Pre-Inspection Reviews

Using the services of The Federation of Independent Schools. the pre-inspection review can be a partial review or a full review. When setting up the contract, we agree the brief and can provide advice based on best practice, offer feedback and key recommendations on areas requiring improvement. Although a formal judgement is not provided, your school(s) will undoubtedly be well prepared for a formal inspection.

Self Evaluation

Self Evaluation is intrinsic to any school improvement process. We offer a principled and strategic approach. The service offered by The Federation of Independent Schools ensures that there is active participation of all key stakeholders. Whether it be starting the evaluation process from the beginning, or modifying what is in existence already, we can help. It is important to validate judgments and within our organisation we have consultants who are skilled at this.

Safeguarding Reviews

Although safeguard monitoring was a requirement in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2016 there was even more focus in the September 2018 update. “All school and college staff have a responsibility to provide a safe environment in which children can learn”. With our safeguarding review, The Federation of Independent Schools uses a comprehensive audit tool and provides an overview of safeguarding within your organisation, whilst confirming areas you may wish to focus upon to improve.

Mock Inspection

We offer personalised packages of days involving in school support, training and guidance designed to perfectly prepare you and your staff for your upcoming inspection. We can cover all aspects of the Framework or if you have a particular area on which you would like to focus our experts are happy to help.

Every mock inspection is tailored to the requirements of the school but will include:

  • Analysis of Self Evaluation, RAISEonline and Development Plan.
  • Discussing systems and processes with leaders and managers
  • Observation of teaching and learning (can be with school staff to moderate judgements)
  • Verbal feedback on the day
  • A brief written report
